The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Mongolia, together with Network of Mongolian Volunteer Organizations (NMVO) and other local partners, hosted the annual celebration of the International Volunteer Day (IVD) 2015 from 3 to 5 December 2015 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. 

IVD 2015 not only celebrated volunteerism in all its facets, but also emphasized volunteers’ contributions to the new. 

Citizens Representative Hural (CRH) Soum representative from Zuunmod, Ms. Bertsetseg, featured in UNDP Mongolia’s Democratic Governance Human-Interest Story was a special guest during IVD 2015.  Ms. Bertsetseg is a beneficiary of UNDP Mongolia's Capacity Strengthening of Local Self-Governing Bodies Project  focusing on local khurals.  Funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) the Project is being jointly implemented by both Parliament Secretariat and UNDP.  A Peace Corps Volunteer and three local high school volunteers accompanied her.
